I’m Jarod, but most people call me Jay.
Dewdrop Massage grew out of my own experience with injury and recovery. After an injury during my time as a U.S. Army paratrooper, I spent a long time trying to find the right kind of support. What finally helped was finding a massage therapist who took the time to listen, notice the details, and work with what was actually happening in my body.
That experience shaped the way I practice today. I started Dewdrop Massage because I wanted to offer that same kind of care to other people: focused, practical, and built around the person in front of me. My focus is to help you move better, feel better, recover better, and understand what your body needs in daily life.
I trained at the Denver Integrative Massage School, where I learned a wide range of hands on techniques and a practical approach to client care. My work blends Swedish massage, deep tissue, myofascial work, trigger point therapy, Thai inspired stretching, cupping, and focused mobility work. I like massage that is effective, specific, and responsive. I want the work to pay attention to what your body is showing us and adjust from there.
In the treatment room, I do not use rigid routines. Every session is based on what you need that day. Sometimes that means deeper focused work. Sometimes it means slower, lighter work. Sometimes it means stretching, cupping, or spending extra time on one area that keeps giving you trouble. We will check in, adjust, and make sure the work stays useful.
Outside of massage, I live a pretty grounded life. I spend a lot of time outside, moving my body, reading, gardening, going to live music, and spending time with my partner. I love hiking, climbing, camping, yoga, weight lifting, EDM, jam bands, and anything that keeps life feeling active, creative, and connected. I like having a mix of things that challenge me, things that slow me down, and things that are just fun.
That shows up in my work. I know what it feels like to train hard, carry stress, work around old injuries, and want to keep doing the things you love without always feeling beat up. You do not have to be an athlete to work with me. You might be active, exhausted, dealing with pain, or just trying to feel more like yourself. Either way, the session should meet you where you are.
Dewdrop Massage is an independently owned practice where all bodies are welcome. You don’t need to show up a certain way. Just show up as yourself, and I’ll take it from there.
